Leadership failure in the Nigerian political system has become an enigma that requires urgent redress. It is with a mind of peaceful development that I want the youth of this great nation to know that it is time werose up to locate and factor in the missing link in the political system of our country Nigeria.
The leadership failure is the reason for all the ills that are obvious in our society today. As we may take a careful look at the Nigerian leadership failure today, it should lead to a positive steering in our spirit to reposition Nigeria towards a prosperous dream. Looking forward to a better Nigeria, we the youth must stand to seek a common goal towards achieving a better Nigeria not minding the leadership failure from the older generation. Let it be that a great day is here for the rebirth of a new Nigeria through the young people in Nigeria not minding the damages that has been done in the Nigerian political sphere as a result of selfish interests. We the young people need to come together to seek a new Nigeria through changes we all hope for, which is an independent sovereign nation void of any form of abnormality.
Words cannot bring to expression the much desired change. It is therefore very imperative that our words are backed with necessary actions carefully tailored towards the much needed change we propagate. This is a very important point which is pivotal in addressing the current leadership failure. It will give us the strength and courage as we dedicate our life to the service of humanity and to our country Nigeria.
Corruption and leadership failure in Nigeria
This is a crucial time and it is even most crucial because we have awaited it with increasing impatience as we have been compelled to watch one country after another overtake ours on the road to greatness, when we had so nearly reached our goal and destination, but due to lack of good governance and leadership failure we have been left behind as a country.
It will be so wonderful if only we can utilize this opportunity we have to reclaim our rightful status. It is time to stand as one nation to fight for justice and peace in this country, not with violence but with unity among the young people in Nigeria. It is only peace and unity that will lead us to a progressive development, let us fight this leadership failure from the older ones without religious and tribal sentiments within us.
Religion and tribalism are all weapons put in place by the current political class to bring discord within the ranks of the younger generation, tricking us out of administrative positions and telling us we are not ready and mature to take on leadership roles. Is it true that the youth are not mature? As one nation we the youth must stand to defend her unity and uphold her loyalty in achieving a peaceful development to correct the current leadership failure.
Leadership failure and the way forward in Nigeria.
Let today go down in history as the culmination of a progressive beginning of change in the Nigerian political history. We truly need the reconstruction and rebuilding of our leadership status, looking forward to a better Nigeria.
We are all called upon to display attributes befitting of responsible leaders in our various spheres, we must stand to play an active participation in maintaining the peace of the society in preserving civilization and we should be determined to succeed and open a new chapter in the Nigerian leadership system, and of the commonwealth and indeed of the world. So help us God.
Youths are to kill leadership failure in Nigeria because they are the future leaders
The youths are the future of Nigeria. As leaders of tomorrow, we must stand as one to fight the good fight, and what is the fight we must fight? We must stand to fight the corrupt system in Nigeria that has denied us the rightful access to a good standard of living even as we are bless with natural resources and manpower. The youth are being denied of good living due to leadership failure and selfish interest epogated by our older persons in politics.
Let’s take a look at where we are coming from and where we are supposed to be now if the system were to be working well.
Where we are today shows that there is no hope for the young persons in Nigeria if we are to judge based on what the current generation of leaders have presented to us. It only shows that there is no hope for the younger ones because indirectly, Nigeria is beginning to face slavery again due to leadership failure. Because if you are aware of the number of young people traveling out of Nigeria now you will understand what I mean by indirect slavery. The best brains we have in Nigeria are moving abroad on a daily basis, all in the name of seeking greener pastures.
If not for leadership failure, how will a country that is so blessed with natural and human resources which other country wish for be in such an ugly situation? How will you allow your future leaders to travel to other countries all in the name of seeking greener pastures and living their country empty, which is not good for the future of any nation.
We the youth must stand with one voice to fight the corrupt system infiltrated by the older persons in politics in Nigeria due to leadership failure. Why are we still following them my fellow youths? This is the time to say no to a corrupt system. This is the right time to tell our leaders that we are tired of their political failure, we need change. The average Nigerian youth today is not living up to one-quarter of theideal standard of living. Why? Leadership failure. So they can buy our conscience during election period, the older persons all know what they are doing by not giving us access to the basic social amenities meant for her citizens as our civic right demands. Why? Leadership failure.
Their campaign strategy is to infiltrate religious and tribal crisis and it is the youths that are being used to carry out their mission and yet they feel less concerned after election. Why?
Their campaigns are full of lies and deceit, why?
The youth easily forget that they are the apple eye of development as leaders of tomorrow and that we need to unite and fight corruption so that the unborn generation will not have to pass through what we are facing now. Why?
As an apple eye of development in any country, we must stand to fight it now by seeking a rebirth of Nigeria for the betterment of tomorrow’s generation as not to also face this menace that is destroying the faith of every young person in Nigeria not to believe in this country anymore. The unborn generation must not experience this because we may not like what will happen when that time comes. Why?
Let’s seek a new Nigeria where Christians, Muslims and others co-exist as one people and one nation with no sentiment in-between or religious and tribal discrimination, because this has become an instrument of crisis being used by the older persons in the political arena in Nigeria. Why? Leadership failure.
This should be the new gate way to the change we seek every day, let history mark this century as the season where a rebirth of Nigeria actually began, let it be an history in Nigeria let it be a total turn around for Nigeria to have a good leadership system by standing with one voice as a country with peace and unity that can only bring about development. I see a new Nigeria through this, I see a new Nigeria is about to come when the youths are fully united. How else can we develop the nation and kill corruption other than us being united in peace. This way, corruption will be dead and leadership failure will disappear for the betterment of the nation.
The youth are still having the same mentality of the older generation by allowing corruption through the selling of our votes during elections. Why? Stomach infrastructure as a result of leadership failure.
Our right to vote should never be infringed upon anymore because of religious and tribal crisis, it is a systematic weapon to distract us from leadership participation by the older persons in politics.
This is the right time for youths to rise to their feet to fight injustice and for the welfare of every Nigeria not distracted by either religious or tribal differences because we are all one.
Religious and tribal crisis are systematic ways of distracting the youth not to participate in the political affairs in Nigeria so that we will not understand their leadership failure and motives towards the future of Nigeria.
We have been denied political participation over the years by the older generation in Nigeria due to empty promises instigated by the older persons in political affairs in Nigeria and we are still following their lies and deceit because of stomach infrastructure.
Can we see that the older person know what they are doing by starving us of our civic rights, thereby impoverishing us and making us perpetual dependents who look up to them for peanuts instead of being self-sufficient and independent. This makes the youths vulnerable and makes us susceptible tools in the hands of the selfish politicians.
They use us to carry out all sort of devilish acts such as; instigating crisis, armed robbers, kidnapers, 419s, yahoo!!!, hooligans and drugs abusers. In all we have been tagged as unproductive youths. Why? I must have something to eat to survive and forget you have every right to a good standard of living with no stress. Right to a good job, good healthcare system, good education and human capacity development, those are the basic social amenities which are supposed to put in place by a good and functional leadership system.
These are the duties of good governance in any country but, the older persons are not making things easy for us by denying us the access to basic social amenities. The role of good leadership is to make everything easy for his or her citizens.
Leadership failure has to go, says the youth.
It is time for us to look at the role of good governance and its place in the development of a nation. I will like us to look at the life of Nelson Mandela Madiba, a light to his generation and a messenger of peace. He never fought religious or tribal battles nor for personal ambitions but for the entire nation of South Africa.
His contribution in the rebirth of a new South Africa as a nation under the apartheid system became a solid foundation of a new South Africa where both blacks, whites, Indians and others co-exist as one people and one loving nation. This should be a great lesson for every African child and most especially the Nigerian youths in times like this.
Nelson Mandela’s concept of a leader should be a blueprint for aspiring leaders, this should serve as the right foundation in our effort to establish a strong nation and become a good example for others, especially in the continent of Africa.
Nelson Mandela is one of the few statesmen in Africa to have gained universal respect around the world and across political spectrums. The truth is do we have such in Nigeria? Or can we have such in Nigeria? Even in our leadership failure can there be any?
Madiba’s role in fighting apartheid and his imprisonment, where he became a symbol of struggle for the oppressed people around the world, and he was able to steer South Africa through the crisis which led to the rebirth of a new South Africa and earned him the international reputation of a benevolent negotiator and quintessential peacemaker and a unified hero of peace.
It is time for us the youths to seek for the birth of a new Nigeria. We shouldn’t allow the older generation in politics to persuade us and take advantage of our ignorance by instigating religious and tribal crisis within us in order to lose focus on the affairs of this nation.
Say no to leadership failure during election; no bribing or selling and buying of vote
As leaders of tomorrow we should not settle for less anymore by accepting anything they present to us during election to vote them into power. We must stand to defend our human right as citizens of Nigeria to uphold her unity and peace as youths because through peace and unity, development can easily take place. We should start seeing reason why we need to stand with one voice to fight this corrupt system in Nigeria.
As leaders of tomorrow I urge every youth who believe in this country to start having the mindset of seeking a new Nigeria.Through unity and progress, we will succeed, let’s stand with one faith and come together as one loving nation.
United we shall stand but divided we will fall, I believe we are brave enough to say no to corruption even if the older persons are not seeing the future, we the young ones have to picture the future and start making amendment to the damages caused due to leadership failure in Nigeria. We are one and one loving nation, we should forget about religious or tribal sentiments.
Fighting and killing will not solve our problem, it will only worsen our problem. We can achieve a peaceful development through peace and unity. We are the future leaders of tomorrow, we need to stand firm by one another to support and empower ourselves to liberate Nigeria from this ugly menace.
We must champion the affairs of this nation by giving our selfless service to humanity. We must believe that democracy can be achieved through the young people. If the older persons have failed, we should not fail the unborn generation. We are the leaders of tomorrow.
We have been deceived all these years with religion and tribalism, can’t we see that this are all instruments of distraction setup by the older generation in the political arena to distract we the youths from active participation in politics.
The older persons are ruling us with a corrupt system of governance and injustice. We need to have an understanding that our leaders in politics know what they are doing by not providing for the youth and allowing them to go hungry and frustrated so that when election comes, they will buy our conscience by selling our votes to them. This is the era of reality.
If we are truly the leaders of tomorrow, we must start now. We need to agree with ourselves on the way forward in achieving a peaceful development and a peaceful co-existence among us all.
Thank you and God bless Nigeria.
This piece of work leadership failure in Nigeria is writing by Omoh Monday Joseph and has never been published in any site or publication.
My dear friend, I want you to know that violence is never an option to be considered even in the face of seemingly impossible and trying circumstances. Though our society today isn’t a reflection of the ideal, resorting to acts of violence shouldn’t be an alternative to anyone who seeks the good of the society and that of himself.
Consider the cow which is greatly admired for its huge size and highly graced carriage. Despite these adornments, the cow is reckoned to be one of the most gentle in its sphere. Friend, why not utilize those qualities, abilities and strength which you intend channeling into acts of violence as useful tools which could be utilized in building the ideal society we so desire void of evil and violence, but with great tranquility.
You were specially designed, framed and given birth to, to fulfill a specific purpose which is to add value to the human race. This special gift to humanity in you can only be identified, unveiled and manifested in an environment of peace and order. You are just too valuable and priceless for that violent act which you find succor in due to the momentary happiness you may derive from it or the cheap gains you get which you see as means of survival and therefore see it as a possible way for your continued existence.
Look at the story of creation, how God had created everything else outside of man; He saw that they were all good, but observed that something important was still missing. Guess what! That special component that was needed to balance the creation equation was not violence; it was none other but… YOU! Yes, YOU!!
You were brought into the scene to order the entire creation. Why then try to bring chaos into that which you are meant to organize through acts of violence? Isn’t that an aberration? Get to think of this; if the salt loses its saltiness, of what value is it anymore? This is the exact scenario that plays out when you engage in activities that don’t constitute value to our world especially your immediate environment. You become like a salt that has lost its saltiness and therefore is good for nothing other than to be thrown out and trampled upon. You demean your authority as a man when you engage in acts that does no good to the people around you.
You were created in God’s image, after His very likeness. Therefore, your primary purpose on earth is to exhibit His very nature by portraying attributes that are consistent with His nature. God as seen even from creation is a God of order. He tranquilized the chaotic earth through the process of creation, this brought peace and order to the void and formless earth. You are therefore expected as a matter of responsibility to be an instrument through which order and peace are established wherever you find yourself. Only by so doing will you be fulfilling the primary purpose of man on earth which is to tend and keep it.
Dear friend, knowing all these, do you still see violence as an option in whatever situation you may find yourself? Why become like the animals and other creatures which you are expected to govern by indulging in that detestable act?
You are much more than you think of yourself and even what the society around you has made you to be; you are special, unique and very much important to this world, so do not allow yourself to be cajoled into any form of violence. Decide today to shun violence in all its forms and become the instrument of peace which you are meant to be.
SAY NO TO VIOLENCE!!!
What do you gain under the umbrella of violence? You will be made to do thing which you are not meet to do on a normal day. Violence is a wicked act governed by greed for money and lust for blood. You lost the right to say no on issues, which ordinarily you would have refused, for example violence will make to execute a revenge bid, to kill somebody else that have never met before either in your environment or some other environments.
As the case may be, which ordinarily you would have refused or reflected upon if you had your free yourself from violence as an individual. But as a person who is under the influence of violence you will find it difficult to say no to violence, because you find it enjoyable and satisfied under the umbrella of violence. Therefore, with the oath penalty hanging over you, you commit your first violence as a killer a murderer. The fearful sanctity of human life.
Thereafter, you continue killing without qualms! A murderer is an enemy of God and humanity. Nobody has the right to take a human life because you don’t destroy what you can’t create or build. So as a violent person you run the demonic risk of being a murderer.
Violent will compelled you by forces beyond you to become a thief and finally an armed robber. Why because you fill that nobody can stop you anymore. You will become a potential moneybag. Secret cult’s devish avenues of making money by the influence of violence as a leading point in your life.
Taxes of violence are becoming more imposed from time to time on the persons under the influences earlier sworn under blood oath to be faithful to the ideals and dictates of the activities as well as absolute obedience to the violent act. The statement of violent account or expenditure of the violent taxes are neither personal taxes or under requests by the forces of violence. It therefore follows from simple arithmetic that the more violent a person’s engaged itself violent act, the more the person is deeply socks in this act.
Violence is an instrument of destruction
Violence is weapon of the devil
Violence is a house of sadness
Violence is a field of manipulation
Violence is a place of no peace and joy
Violence has no home for peace to rest
In the name of liberty, freedom and democracy, on behalf of the good people of our country, especially the masses across Nigeria who require redemption and know that it is imperative for one of their own to join the political battle of the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019, a great achiever shining star who is well known as a Nigerian common-man (commoner) – Ahure Innocent Tivlumun, has indicated interest to run for President in the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019.
The masses recognize the contributions that Ahure can make and the effective leadership he can provide for Nigeria, and we are convinced that his leadership will be focused on the masses plight and it is the Nigerian peoples’ desire for him to aspire to lead the country.
By the Grace of God Almighty, the Nigerian masses unflinching loyalty, has spurred Ahure on and the masses support base would give him the anticipated victory in the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019. Ahure has written to the key figures in the Nigerian establishment calling for a common united front to achieve his aspiration. The letters to two former Presidents of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo and Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida are reproduced hereunder. THE NIGERIA PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION 2019 shall be a masses revolution.
Letter to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR
On the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019.
Dated 2nd May, 2018
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR)
Former President, Federal Republic of Nigeria
Agbe L’Oba House,
Quarry Road, Ibara,
P. O. Box 2286, Abeokuta
NIGERIA PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION 2019:
MY ASPIRATION IS AN INSPIRATION FROM THE ALMIGHTY GOD
I am a Nigerian citizen who is intensely motivated to contest the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019and I am writing to you because I am convinced about acting in concert with you to achieve success with my aspiration. I have a clear vision about this and a worthy roadmap crafted for countrywide revitalization on short, medium and long term basis. The document sets out my side of the bargain and it has severally been described as a sure bet to take our country out of the crippling abyss of economic disability, transform the lives of Nigerians and enormously achieve national development. It is very glaring that the current way is not working and we all know that the upcoming Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 offers a beacon of hope for Nigerians to elect their new President who this time around must be an individual destined to fix the entire nation and would provide during the campaigns a unique and special formula geared toward achieving the masses interest and acceptance. Undoubtedly, this is the main point that guarantees that Nigerians can rely on the individual to tackle the challenges facing our country and make a difference.
Certainly from every nook and corner of Nigeria today no one doubts that your patriotic pursuit has been focused on ensuring that Nigerians take great care and circumspection to elect leaders that have the competence and are scrupulously seeking to give our country a government that will accept its responsibility to insure social justice while constantly accelerating economic progress for Nigeria. Indeed amongst the upper echelon of elder-statesmen in this country, I am delighted to state that the masses of this nation recognize your effort to facilitate the emergence of a leadership in the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 that would be committed to addressing our country’s parlous security situation and lack of food security, tackling our comatose education sector and our decaying infrastructure etc. It is a fact that you, more than any leader in this country today have empathized closely with Nigerians and give fuller meaning to that sacred creed as enshrined at the preamble of the Constitution of Nigeria… “WE THE PEOPLE”. You are also placed in a pivotal position to understand the dreams and aspirations of Nigerians, as well as their pains, and recently – their disappointment and near despair at the unhappy state of affairs brought about by this current inept administration in Nigeria.
I would like to refer to the repeated calls patriotic leaders like you have made to President Muhammadu Buhari to refrain from and not to seek re-election as a historic caution even though without giving it proper sober reflection he has stated readiness to run again in the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019. What is now apparent is that the bonds that are so dear and which hold us together are being threatened by this decision because the continuation of this administration would mean the perpetuation of the most polarizing and divisive government we have ever had since Nigerians assumed governance after taking over from the colonialists. Since then the country has sought unity and a balancing among the over 250 ethnic nationalities that comprise Nigeria. Some unfortunate events of the 60s plunged our country into civil war. We survived the war and achieved the fastest reconciliation and reconstruction ever known in modern times. The nation has survived through difficulties and triumphed as one nation with a common destiny. We have succeeded in living with one another in mutual respect because we have learnt about each other. It is for this reason that the National Youth Service Corps NYSC was set up. It goes without saying that we are stronger together.
It is however disheartening that in present Nigeria, the APC administration is trying to reverse the gains made by the unity of Nigeria in the most divisive and polarizing ways by whipping up hatred amongst ethnic groups and adherents of different religious faiths, in order to satisfy the selfish unwholesome ambition of a power clique. This administration instigates and supports one section of the country against all others and seeks to upset the balancing which we expect every government at the center to promote. And to any charges in this regard, this administration has no answer than to hurl insults at the messengers whilst leaving out the message. This administration truly has no answers because these allegations are true. So what do they do? They continue to lower the prestige and honour of the Presidency which is meant to be a respectable institution by castigating perceived opponents in very hateful language.
However, in the midst of the gloom that this administration has placed the country – there is a light at the end of the tunnel: there is a silver lining in the clouds. I have decided to step forward to formally express my aspiration to run for the office of President of Nigeria in the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019, buoyed by the effervescent and enthusiastic support and confidence of the Nigerian people. By the Grace of God, WE THE PEOPLE shall vote out this APC administration in the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 and the noble aspiration I am writing to inform you through this medium will succeed. Please take my letter to you as an expression of avowed determination of Nigerians, young and old; male and female; the people of the south and the north; to bound together to vote for me to become the next President of Nigeria. It is obvious today that this nation needs an energized and indomitable young person to come forward to solve the misery, injustice, problems and violence in Nigeria. Age is asset in a world where leadership in government and global business is dominated by leaders in their 40s. At the prime age of 47 years, coupled with my deep love, devotion and affection for our Country and backed with the fact that like most Nigerians, I am unhappy about the difficult times, great unease and anxiety in Nigeria, I believe that the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 presents the opportunity to achieve true justice among our fellow citizens and find in our midst and in our hearts that leadership of human purpose that will recognize the terrible truth of our existence.
Many have argued that the rotational presidency as sought to be practiced in Nigeria has outlived its usefulness and could be dumped for a more contemporary and modern democracy in word and in deed and we must admit that any Nigerian, whether from the majority or minority so long as he/she is acceptable to the generality of Nigerians can aspire to lead our country and it is the key to progress in Nigeria today. This is not just to give merit a place in our democracy but also for the advancement of a new, strong, virile and principled nationalism. Let us produce and present to the world a Nigerian President not a sectional leader or an ethnic champion. One’s ethnic background should not directly make or mar his/her chances to run in the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019. It has become necessary to accept the truth that the balancing, political stability or cohesiveness which we are told are the visions of rotational leadership has habitually escaped, hence the need for Nigeria to adjust politically so that the winner of the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 works to create strong bonds, mutual understanding and cooperation which will metamorphose into a national coalition. I most humbly offer myself to do this.
Permit me to use this privilege to briefly state my character, temperament and general disposition. I have a positive style of management and leadership which helps me gets along well with most people and I devote a great deal of attention to my duties. I believe merit should be acknowledged and rewarded because this encourages productivity and good performance. It is my firm believe that management or leadership must endear the people because this enables it to achieve a lot of positive results with minimum effort. I have a track record of selfless service and usually conduct my affairs with a high sense of humility and responsibility earning in the process general respect from everyone. My outspokenness and frankness on issues before me matched with a sound moral character are virtues which can stimulate and drive a dynamic and resourceful leadership. In addition to an unquestionable character, there has never been a case of misdemeanor involving me and I have never been exposed to any financial embarrassment. I am a very resourceful honest man and often very frank and outspoken and take good initiatives with a sharp and literate mind. By the Grace of God, I have been adjudged very cerebral with an intellectual capacity for a fast grasp of institutional regulations which is most valuable in leadership.
Akin to this, I have lived as a detribalized Nigerian, a human rights activist, a nationalist per excellence, a crusader for social justice and equity, a vanguard of religious tolerance and an epitome of humility. I am very much aware that an individual with a vision to lead our country has a duty to select very conscientious and industrious men and women with energetic spirit from one end of Nigeria to the other who will form the team to address our nation’s cries of poverty, economic hardship, lack of good education, technological stagnation, poor health facilities and services etc., to improve the status of Nigeria. While there is room for more nominations, a selected crop of seasoned, committed and experienced young Nigerians cutting across the professions and even political affiliations are schematically placed in my roadmap to realize this vision by contributing their enormous administrative and management experiences to take Nigeria to the promised land, I have taken the liberty to develop a separate action plan from wide consultations to have a good team to work with and give Nigeria responsible governance geared toward achieving a greater measure of democracy with political rights and responsiveness to basic human needs.
The responsibility and necessity for discipline is not an option in my leadership style. I will regularly follow up with application of firm sanctions after delegating functions and activities and an inappropriate conduct is observed in any quarter. This is what will protect the government against the destructive consequence that occurs when a leader fails to carry out discipline. It is very correct to hold that meting out appropriate sanctions to set good example for every government official to adhere to is vital to the progress of governance. I cannot agree with the idea of having corrupt people in government because I know it has destructive consequences. Any person therefore that acts not consistent with the regulations or misuses authority will not have my protection no matter who the individual is. Today, half of Nigeria’s population survives on less than $2 a day per person, and this is caused by moral decay in the leadership, I am totally against this situation.
My campaign will push a vision that is certainly not utopian. Its feasibility lies in the hands of Nigerians. This will be as succinctly captured in the preamble of the Nigerian constitution. Indeed a central philosophy of the campaign is to assure Nigerians that the new administration will “promote the good government and welfare of all persons in our country on the principles of freedom, equality and justice”and will “consolidate the unity of our people”. The emphasis in the vision of my campaign is to institute an administration to safeguard rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for Nigerians. I will campaign for Nigerians to learn to divest their minds off money or tribal politics. One thing this campaign will surely achieve is a democratized Nigeria where tribal and State loyalties are sacrificed for national loyalty. At the end, the campaign must leave footprints on the sands of time for generations yet unborn as the revolutionary vision that provided the panacea to the political system in Nigeria. There is already available now a well co-ordinated and marshaled out plan for my campaigns as an aspirant for the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019.
“When a man does not know to what port he is steering, no wind is favourable to him”. The Greek philosopher Seneca, uttered these wise words about two thousand years ago, and the veracity has hardly been called to question. The relevance of minds with good vision to the development of a country is one, which cannot be overemphasized. True greatness lies on vision. While such a vision provides the goal and objective, we then direct and re-direct our intellect and strength towards the realization of such a noble dream. For the redemption of our country, I have a clear vision of running for office to become Nigeria’s President when I am declared winner of the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 and I sincerely have not lost sight of its practicability or feasibility. Ignoring reality in this vision is tantamount to building a castle in the air. Allow me, to inform you that I do not possess the financial capacity to see this monumental project to fruition. As much as I would confidently reiterate that my vision has a definite destination, it could remain no more than a dream or sentiments unless I find the wherewithal or resources to actualize the vision.Still, this challenge is not insurmountable as I am resolved to be determined and recognize that endurance is key to success. Otto Von Bismarck once said “politics is the doctrine of the possible, the attainable”. I firmly believe too that with God Almighty who is the well-spring of mercies, there is no obstacle I cannot overcome. The pessimists have concluded that the vision is unattainable in the absence of money but it does not have to be so. It is trite to recount that I do not own a car and also do not own a house anywhere in Nigeria while also having to struggle to etch out a means of livelihood. And like most known patriots of the Nigerian masses brigade, I have never been abode an aircraft or had the privilege to live outside the shantytowns since my birth. My late father, Daniel Ahure Norwho died at age 62, put in 34 years of diligent service in the Nigerian Army (NA) and retired in the year 1998 on the flagship rank of Warrant Officer 2 (WO2). He was a store man in the NA Ordnance Corps while my very indefatigable late mother Franca Ahure Nor passed on 7 years earlier at age 45. She had engaged mostly in hawking or selling of food items. Both of them were genuine lovers of peace, strict disciplinarians and exemplary Christians who brought me up to have a unique non-discriminatory outlook to people in general. This is the humble but star background that has shaped me.
Another fear akin to the foregoing is that I do not subscribe to having a political god-father to come to my aid if my vision and mission is to salvage a poverty and corruption stricken country. There can be no argument that the undue influence from sponsors of the winner of an election is the cause of corruption because loyalty is no longer to the country but to persons. To regard you therefore as my god-father in politics is an act that would cause untold damage to the country. However, I recognize your influential political stature and concede that I need you to coach me, advice and assist me in the herculean task on my hands. It is with great humility that I request you to approve to work together with me and take the opportunity of the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 to make Nigeria a better place for all. I am convinced of your honesty, incorruptibility, trustworthiness, respectability, modesty, reliability, courage, competence, frankness, fearlessness and above all, fear of God and consider it God’s wisdom to write to you on this issue. I request for your support. With your support I intend to win the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019.
Having noted the all-round challenges envisaged. As an orator, prodigy and an erudite scholar who can dream, aspire, work and realize my vision of returning dignity to every Nigerian nationals anywhere he or she may be, it is mindful of these perceived weaknesses that I have vigorously pursued and achieved success with the cooperation of the masses across Nigeria to support the vision I chose to push as the solution to the misery, injustice, problems and violence in Nigeria. From variegated bodies back in Nigeria and the diaspora consisting of civil society organizations, human rights groups, political parties, tribal unions, trade unions, literary associations, professional associations, religious groups, social clubs and women organizations; masses yearning for good leadership believe they have found in me someone who will give Nigeria direction, build tolerant communities, create jobs and develop physical infrastructures while being fair and treating people with respect. I am very pleased to note that the masses are avowed to pursue the vision I have presented to them and I can confidently say it is the masses agenda that I stand for; it is the masses cause I champion. I know how the masses feel because I am one of them. I have lived and interacted, listened and learned and understood the concern of the masses. I therefore have the masses mandate to run for election in the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 to become the President of Nigeria.Herein lies my strength and might; the total mobilization of the masses without exception.
The point I have made above here is that my aspiration is yet ambitious, realistic and achievable. This letter is basically meant to create a sustainable cooperation platform with you and the political camp you may deem fit and advise me to join in order to actualize this vision which is driven by patriotism. Your response to this letter will be to me a confirmation that you are committed and believe that now is the time to make a move in the right direction for our country and that now is the time to insist on credible leadership for Nigeria. I most humbly pray you to grant me the opportunity to work with you as what I have in mind can only succeed in the spirit of cooperation, collaboration and partnership. The foundation upon which the building of Nigeria was envisioned by the British at independence has unfortunately brought pain and frustration and the feeling of frustration among Nigerians has only continued to deepen under the current administration. The innovation to form a ‘third force’ which you have proffered is a great dream realizable without using a discriminatory outlook, but altruistically tackling the national question to establish a national coalition for understanding and cooperation for the benefit of all. Kindly note that I not only share this vision with you but I admire and accept the ideology as the potent option for the political endeavours of 2019 and for re-shaping tomorrow’s Nigeria to the discredit of the political arrangement the British had bequeathed to us. I earnestly offer myself to be a known leader of this type of a revolution in Nigeria and shall be grateful to have your backing.
This third force revolution must have a democratic face and a Nigerian candidate not a southern or northern irredentist and gladiator seeking to lead the country. I have put up a sharp mechanism and philosophy for the ways and means of achieving success and the core goal is to change the psyche of Nigerians to put an end to mass exploitation, oppression, poverty and misery. Every revolution in history had its symbolic leader as its moral compass and driving force and I crave that for the peoples sake I would get your blessings to lead the reformist mass movement and revolution to wrest power from the APC in the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 in like manner as when George Washington was the symbolic leader of the American Revolution, Mohandas K Gandhi was the symbolic leader and the moral compass of the Indian Revolution, Vladimir IIyich Lenin was the leader of the Russian Revolution, Fidel Castro was the leader of the Cuban Revolution, and Nelson Mandela was the symbolic leader and moral compass of the ANC Revolution in South Africa. I remain very confident and self-confidence is a key for a revolution just as excessive and uncontrollable extremism is a key weakness in a revolution hence my instincts are vigilant against things that could jeopardize the chances for success. Morality should be a key tool of this revolution because means must justify the end.

Letter to Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida GCFR
On the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019.
Dated 7th May, 2018
Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida GCFR,
Former President, Federal Republic of Nigeria
NIGERIA PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION 2019:
ALONE I CAN DO SO LITTLE BUT TOGETHER WE SHALL ACHIEVE A GREAT DEMOCRATIC REVOLUTION IN NIGERIA
I am using this letter to plainly let you know that I have always categorized you amongst Nigerian leaders with genuine commitment to progressive ideologies in politics and the desire to build a better Nigeria by democratically electing a focused leadership for our country. I would like therefore to draw your attention to my craving for you to provide effective mentorship, guidance, encouragement and support to my aspiration to contest the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
While unveiling to you my aspiration and longing, I use this opportunity to frankly emphasize that I intend to undertake a revolutionary designed campaign directed at social transformation in order to put an end to mass exploitation, oppression, poverty and misery in our country, when I may have won the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 by the Grace of God Almighty. An ideological revolution by way of a reformist mass movement that will be properly guided by the principles of progressive ideology is sure to generate a consensus acceptable by the masses at this time in Nigeria’s history.
It was in order to bring power from the king – the ivory tower of power – and give it to the people that the first ideological revolution in history took place in France from 1792. This was why the slogan of the revolution was “power to the people”. There is no doubt that the revolution was realistic. To be realistic means to understand human nature and to understand human nature is a fundamental wisdom needed in any struggle for power. I will lead a Nigerian revolution for the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 which will be appreciated as un-patronizing and dispassionate with a realistic motive in response to the sensibilities of the Nigerian electorate.
In saying this, I respectfully call for your support and encouragement, as I truly believe victory is possible should a realistic Presidential candidate obtain and have your assistance now that Nigerians are tired, suspicious, wary and dissatisfied with the apparent incompetence, insensitivity, lack of vision and direction of those who are currently in power. The masses are anxiously waiting to embrace and adopt a Presidential candidate that is thoroughbred in the fundamentals of a revolution for the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019. I am therefore submitting myself for your scrutiny and confidently believe you will agree that I have what it takes to be the realistic Presidential candidate for the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019.
My assurance is that because our strength lies in our numbers, the core goal to achieve with my aspiration by the Grace of God Almighty shall be full mobilization of every segment of the Nigerian society to see, understand and believe in the redemption of our country by means of a memorable democratic revolution. I am privileged to have a humble, experienced, dedicated and committed nationalist as you to align and lean on. You are a gift to Nigeria. In earnestly pursuing this task, I have properly articulated my aspiration in a letter to a former President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR, which I enclose herein for your comparative grasp. At different for a, like Chief Obasanjo you have consistently held that we all need to work together to ensure that the emphasis is not on achieving individual goals but a collective goal. Please consider having me as a dependable ally to you and let us all work as a team.
I am not suggesting or imagining that my aspiration is the vision of a genius. Also, I did not conceive in my mind to aspire to contest the Presidential election 2019in order to accumulate funds from election sponsors. I always remember that no man can ever be honoured for what he received, as honour is the reward for what you gave. And I please implore you not to see my letter to you as a fund raising initiative. I am full of expectation that you would admire my aspiration and be favourably disposed to ensure that we all work together to save our beloved country Nigeria and provide a better leader and a better person to govern Nigeria after the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019. I trust that we shall all do the needful to halt the current governance deficit in Nigeria.
Do note therefore that to become President of this country, I will feel secure if you participate in my efforts to contest the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019. It is a call to serve that I am bidding to answer and wish to jointly take on the challenge with you, together with the cooperation of all senior citizens on the one hand and every Nigerian on the other hand. I seek your invitation for me to come forward and elucidate before you the well-articulated master plan developed for the anticipated victory at the upcoming polls and thereafter provide good leadership for Nigeria. Of course, I plead that you share and discuss this bottom-line accord I am searching for ahead of the political battle of the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019 with all your political acquaintances in order to make the necessary informed judgment.
Kindly give me an appointment for further talks please. I shall be greatly indebted to you for a meeting between us at your earliest convenience.

THE NIGERIA PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION 2019
Historians say that the ancient Roman Empire, at the zenith of her power and glory, had the greatest administrative machinery the ancient world ever knew. She was stinking rich in art and cultures. Her laws were so effective that they are today the foundation of the laws of many countries. Sadly her law and the mighty Roman legions could not conquer one enemy: CORRUPTION. Only a good, democratic government headed by an honest, open and transparent leadership, which leaves no one in doubt as regards its sense of integrity, accountability and competence can effect a change in the corruption landscape.Mindful of this, I recognize that transparency is the main ingredient to restore trust between decision makers and citizens. Ahure Innocent Tivlumun – THE PILLAR OF TRUTH
PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA 2019
I, Ahure Innocent Tivlumun – a true democratic leader who will tirelessly work to ensure that democracy survives in Nigeria by giving a sense of hope to all those who consider themselves down trodden, while displaying a humane disposition, peaceful nature and a lifestyle of empathy seeks the support of all Nigerians on my aspiration to become Nigeria’s President in 2019.
